all airbags are opened by a small charge of explosives, thus the hot air

Yes. He had gloves because the hot air form the airbag could have burned his skin as it was ejected to the side holes on the moment his head hit the airbag.

No man. The Renault company thanked Top Gear for this test saying that they did a good thing showing people that this car is safe as they said.

In a crash the kinetic energy of both cars will equally distribute on both cars. So in comparison to the NCAP test, the BMW will get hit a little less, and the Megane a little heavier. But that is only deformation energy. In terms of momentum distribution the lighter vehicle will always be the one with the higher deceleration which raises the injury risk for the passangers. (basic physics)

“good” if you think that…lol BMW 5 is half meter longer than megane berline, so bmw should be very safe, and it has only 4 stars… so that’s terrible..

The Volvo was a 940, a car almost identical in structure to the 740 that was introduced in 1982. The BMW 5-series was released in 2004 or 2005, and is a modern car. I’m not disagreeing in that the Mégane is a safe car: I’m just saying that because it is lighter than the BMW, we can’t compare their NCAP results directly.

but in real life, there is no chance that two bmw 5 will crash… bmw 5 could crash on the road with megane, and Megane will pass better… Probably you didn’t see test where little Modus had crash with big volvo which is 1,5 meters longer…Half volvo were crashed, but modus had only front damage…

Still, my point is valid: the results are only relevant to cars of similar weight.

well, bmw 5 has 4 stars on crash test, so on the front size megane is safetier… You can compare megane sedan or laguna with bmw 5 in crash tests..

You can’t say that the Megane is safer than a 5-series, because the results of Euro NCAP are based on a collision with a vehicle of the same weight and size of the car tested, as it effectively “collides into it self” when hitting the deformable barrier.

it’s posible.. 15000 - 20000 is price for 1,5 dCi engine with 80hp, but even for 1,9 dCi with 130hp you should give 32000 euros… New BMW 5 has 4 stars on crash test, so Megane is safetier… And Megane is very luxury and comfortable car…
